Well I need to tell you where I have been and why there has been a lack posts from me recently.

Since December I got involved with Care Company and started working on a limited basis as a part time carer. I have found the experience to be one of the most fulfilling I have ever had during my career to date.

The awareness of peoples needs and how important they are to those who have become dependant on support to enable them to remain at home and also be able to live as near a normal life as they can or to be able to develop skills to allow them to remain independent.

Well recently I was given a live in assignment with an individual that required the support of two carers to enable him to live a life of independence and to also learn new life skills to allow him to develop as a person. Well that same person who had been institutionalised from a young age due to authorities feeling he did not have the mental & physical abilities to survive in the real world.

Well this person did have the ability to survive and prove everyone was wrong to make such judgements, in fact this person from a position of institutionalism undertook studies that lead to a degree in Social Welfare, Health & Safety and is currently advising the NHS on disabilities issues. If that was not enough to deal with, he then had to fight the system to get released from institutionalism and have a life of his own with care support, which he has now enjoyed for nearly four years.

During the last four years he has had to adapt to living in the real world and had to learn new skills to enable him to live and enjoy life for the first time as an equal. He has since set up an online company raising disability awareness to the local and business community, this business started five months ago and the idea came over a cup of coffee between like minded people. This business has grown to become widely known within the Cardiff, The Vale and is now growing across the whole of Wales.

Plus he is standing for the second time as Lib Dem Candidate for the local council in South Wales, he has also become a consultant for the NHS and various other committees as an advisor for disability awareness.

I have enjoyed working with him and wish to work with him on a regular basis, not just as a carer but also as his life & business consultant to be his right hand man with his businesses and support him via coaching & feedback to enhance his existing skills and allow him to grow even further and become totally independent from the state and help fellow businesses see the benefits of disability awareness and what financial rewards it can bring to any business.

Since meeting with this guy we have developed a relationship of friendship and are exploring how collaboration between us can develop other opportunities together. Which have been doing recently.

This guy along with his partner have set up and are holding their first Inaugural Conference which is taking place next week in Narbetth. If you require more details about the event etc let me know and I will forward details direct to you.

I have written this as a mark of respect for the guy, he is aware I will be writing about him, but I have reserved the best along with videos etc to when he is able to spend time with me and to get permission to use his name etc.

My goal is to make this the best Local Networking Event in South Wales, I will be adding additional features and looking to add further services for our members to have access to, that will be of benefit.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped and given support to make this club a success as well especially the owner (Onkar) and staff at the Three Saints Hotel.

Unless you know what you want in life, and  how do you intend to achieve success – then you can underachieve your desires which can have a knock on effect.

Which can lead to you feeling at a loss, not knowing what to do or where to go in the future?

Well believe in yourself and what you can actually achieve, then you need to plan your goals and objectives for the future. Set yourself time scales to be able to measure your own success and achievements. Only by taking time out to reflect what you have already achieved and what you still need to achieve to enable you to move forward towards your goals and objectives.

There is no rocket science involved, just using your existing knowledge, skills and attitude can make the difference between success and missed opportunities!

So seek support and help to maximise your full potential via a coach, who will help you to identify  the key issues you need to address.

Firstly you need to know who you are and what you stand for? Also you need to want to make changes to enable you to succeed success!

And this means in all aspects of your life, including your career & your personal relationships, because you may be happy in one area but not all three?

So the key thing is to accept you need to have a balance in your life between your career and your relationships, because if you get the balance wrong then you are likely to head towards problems, which include emotions, your family, your career and finally what it will cost you in financial and personal terms.

So seek support on a regular basis with a coach to avoid the pitfalls that can impact on your life?

Don’t forget they creep up on you without your full knowledge that they are happening to you before it is to late!

There is nothing more important in life than your family & friends, compared to having money and career success, otherwise you will become the richest person in the cemetery!

So believe in the future and that you can make the changes that make a difference to enhance of your life and ambitions for the future.

Only conditioning during our lives makes us think or believe that you can’t do something! When in fact this is not true and you can achieve what ever you want if you really want to!

So always remember you only have one life, so why would you want to waste it? Make the most of your life and yes this will mean at times you need to take chances? Hay this is part of life, and what we need to accept and decide what we want and how we are going to achieve what I want in life.

You can have it all, happiness, success and fulfilment, provided you are adaptable and prepared to adjust to enable you to achieve your desired goals.

And trust me you can, I have worked with lots of people, including clients who have changed they way they do things for the better and achieved the desired results they wanted in like!
